Hmmm. Is this a new version of ‘Pouring water on oil’? What’s the result, I wonder? As usual, I like very much. I miss your comments in return, Frank; en explanation to what’s your thoughts behind the motif, if any. Would be very interesting to hear your comment’ – or are you too busy? Smiles
Very well then, a comment in return, for my faithful commentator; the milk she pours on the oil is a maternal response, in fact, of mother earth herself, to the spill of oil, the milk is nourishing, healing, a wounded planet trying to cure itself, but the gesture is rather pathetic, it does not seem that milk has enough power to overwhelm the oil, but, who knows? Perhaps the milk of kindness and love can heal. Then again, oil is a natural part of the earth as well, it is we humans that have thrown off the balance, and the milk is a restorative that seeks to neutralize, and rebalance, which brings us to another theme, that the drawing is also an interesting variation on the Yin & Yang, as the Yin is poured into the oil, the oil creeps up the legs of woman, and each is absorbed into the other.
Oh, I suspected it was much more ‘complicated’ than what my comment indicated. Thanks for the clarification, Frank. Very interesting to hear.
